
The following document gives simple, end user instructions to the
installation and connection of the iPass Global Roaming Client.
1. Run the installation executable “iPass.exe”.
1a. After a short period you will be presented with the following screen, click “Next”.
2. Read, and if you are happy accept the End User License Agreement (EULA), check the “check box” and click “next”.
3. Choose your installation path or if you are happy with the default click “next”.
4. The installation will proceed automatically.
5. At the end of the installation you will be presented with the following screen click “Finish” to complete and launch iPass for the first time.
6. From the default screen click “Settings” then “Login Information”.
7. Enter your Username and Password as supplied by DMGi and set the default country to your most frequently used location, then click “OK”.
8. Back on the main screen now select your current Country Location and the closest City or Town, then click “Find”. You will be presented with a list of different connection types. ISDN, Modem and GSM are broadly localised to the area and will work as long as your PC supports the connection type. Wired and wireless broadband are location specific and will only work from the stated place of service (the address is usually available by clicking on the red “i” button). You may also at this point click “Bookmark” to store the connection settings as a favorite which will then be available from the “Bookmarks” tab at the top of the application window. Click “Connect” to establish your iPass Roaming service.
9. You will notice in the bottom right hand corner of your screen a red/white animated “i” double (left) clicking this will bring up your connection status e.g. time of connection and data sent/received this is where you can also disconnect your client when you are finished with your Internet connection.
