Upcoming Maintenance Date:2009-06-09 Time: 17:00- System: Sawmill / Urchin Server The planned disk upgrade is still taking place and data is being copied to the new storage. The system is now not expected to be back online until tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. Date:2009-06-09 Time: 15:00 - 17:00 System: Sawmill / Urchin Server Our Sawmill and Urchin server (dilog01.dialin.co.uk / dilog01c.dialin.co.uk) will be down this afternoon for maintenance and disk upgrades. The work will start at approximately 15:00 and should be complete by 17:00 Date: 2009-04-21 Time: 14:00 - 16:00 System: Shared FTP Server
We will be performing maintenance on our Shared FTP Server this afternoon between approximately 2pm and 4pm, during this time FTP access to web-sites on our shared infrastructure (Windows and Linux based) will be unavailable. Normal access to web-sites will be unaffected. Maintenance/Fault Log Date: 2008-11-03 Time: 15:17 System: Sawmill/Urchin Our Sawmill and Urchin web-statistics server will be unavailable for a while for a disk upgrade. Date: 2008-03-10 Time: 16:06 System: dSpam One of our clustered dSpam Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus servers has developed a back-log of email. We are currently working on the issue, but customers may notice a delay in some email being received until the back-log is cleared. Date: 2008-01-10 Time: 10:46 System: External routing The routing issue that is affecting some of our customers seems to be caused between the customers ISP and Nominets UK root name servers - this prevents customers requesting the "authoritative" name server for a domain (for our domains, this would be our name servers) and so the customer cannot look up the correct IP address. For the moment we are recommending that anyone who is affected by this contacts their ISP and informs them that they appear to have an issue accessing Nominets root name servers, and requests that their ISP investigate further. Date: 2008-10-01 Time: 9:18 System: External routing We have had a number of users report errors connecting to our mail servers this morning. DMGi have investigated and it does not appear to be an issue with our servers. We are currently trying to determine if there is an external routing issue preventing connections reaching our servers. Date: 2008-07-14 Time: 16:45 Sytem: Shared Website Storage One of our shared storage servers has reported a failed disk in its array, degrading performance. We have replaced the failed unit and switched to an alternative shared storage server to improve performance whilst the degraded server rebuilds. Date: 2008-07-08 Time: 20:00-22:00 System: Connectivity We will be upgrading our main internet connection starting at 20:00 (8pm) on Tuesday the 8th of July 2008. During this upgrade we will have a temporary loss of connectivity whilst systems switch over to the new line. We will be working with BT to keep this disruption to a minimum. Date: 2008-07-07 Time: 12:15 System: DialExpress (www.dialexpress.co.uk) DialExpress is back up and running. DMGi apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Date: 2008-07-03 Time: 11:00 System: DialExpress (www.dialexpress.co.uk) DialExpress has suffered a hardware failure. The system is currently undergoing diagnostic tests to determine the issue.

Date: 2007-11-15 Time: 14:54 System: Power Due to power fluctuations in the Shalford area, DMGi have switched to emergency backup power. There may have been momentary loss of service, but all systems should now be up and running. Date: 2007-11-08 Time: N/A System: dSpam (anti spam) We have implemented a number of updates to our dSpam anti-spam and virus scanning system to improve performance and reliability. As a result of this you will now see quarantine notifications coming from q0.dmgi.co.uk and q1.dmgi.co.uk rather than the old names dspam0.dmgi.co.uk and dspam1.dmgi.co.uk.
Date: 2007-10-18 Time: N/A System: Email Servers We have implemented an extension to our mail servers to allow user-specified suffixes on existing emails, seperated by a "+" sign (sometimes referred to as "disposable" email addresses). For instance email to "support+website @ dmgi.co.uk" will be delivered to the "support @ dmgi.co.uk" email address. This allows you give out individual email addresses (perhaps for registering on web-sites) without having to set up additional email addresses in advance. Date: 2007-10-14 Time: N/A System: DSpam Anti-Spam To further improve our DSpam anti-spam system, we are implementing a new layer of filtering and scoring. DSpam users may notice additional emails in your Spam Quaranting folder with a "[Spam]" prefix on the subject as a result. Date: 2007-06-21 Time: 9:30 - 11:30 System: DialExpress (www.dialexpress.co.uk) The DialExpress website will be offline for routine maintenance on the morning of Thursday 21st June 9.30-11.30am. Please ensure you do not have any mailshots scheduled during this period.. Date: 2007-06-14 Time: 9:00 - 12:00 System: Web Log Server Maintenance work is due to take place on our web log server dilog01. As a result of this Sawmill (versions 6 and 7) and Urchin will be unavailable this morning. |
